Composed for concert band and narrator, this work portrays the lives of fortune-seekers heading for California to profit from the Gold Rush of 1849. Descriptive narration, historical melodies, and beautiful original music combine into a genuine crowd-pleaser. Commissioned by the Del Norte High School Concert Band.
